Media Center & Dvd Home Theater System Speaker Sharing Possible?

I have a media center and want to get a dvd home theater system (5.1 surround sound speakers).

It will depend on what you buy but in most circumstances yes you should be able to put the media center through the surround and then on to the tv but if you get something cheap you may end up going to the tv from the media center and then going from the tv to the surround Hope that helps
